Lincoln City were saddened to learn of the passing of former player, Tom Docherty.
Born in Penshaw, Tom joined the Imps from Murton Colliery in 1947. He went onto make forty-five apperances, scoring three goals across three seasons.
Docherty went onto join Norwich City in June 1950. He subsequently appeared for Reading and Newport making a further 246 appearances with those three clubs.
