Ted Bishop believes his resurgent Imps side will build upon the momentum gained from the performance against Cheltenham Town.
Bishop, who thought he had sealed the three points after netting twice in the second half, says there was plenty for his side to be proud of.
He said: "It's sickening to concede because we know we probably deserved the three points.
"We've been struggling of late and not scored, but you saw as soon as that first goal went in the belief was back. We were playing like the team we were at the start of the season and we can take that momentum into the next game on Saturday and build upon this."
The playmaker was also keen to praise the backing of the Lincoln supporters, such as the 381 travelling fans who made the trip to Gloucestershire, for their backing over a difficult period.
He added: "The fans have been brilliant the last month or so. We know it’s been tough on them, but they still turn up in their numbers so we can’t thank them enough.
"If they stick with us then we will all be alright."
