Adam Jackson’s first taste of a packed LNER Stadium has left him hungry for more.
The centre-back enjoyed playing in front of more than 8,000 Imps supporters - and credits their support as one of the key reasons the home side secured all three points.
He said: “I loved it - the atmosphere was brilliant and everyone was buzzing to be back. The fans being with us the whole time gave us that little boost, that little kick to go further.
“Sometimes when you go 1-0 it can deflate the atmosphere, but the fans were right behind us which really helped as we got towards the end of the game.”
Jackson is pleased to be back in action so soon, as Bolton travel to Lincolnshire on Tuesday night.
He added: “By the time the season comes you just want to keep playing to get a bit of momentum and keep going - you want to be playing Saturday and Tuesday.
“We’ve got good depth and even if the manager does need to make a change it shouldn’t matter too much as everyone should know their roles.”
