The Imps' latest recruit Brennan Johnson has expressed his excitement in getting started for Lincoln City after joining the club on a season-long loan from Championship side Nottingham Forest.
Capped at England U16 and U17 level, Johnson went on to feature for Wales U19 and U21 before being called up to Ryan Giggs' senior squad earlier this month.
The number 10 who came through Forest's academy is looking forward to getting started: "I am really excited, as soon as I found out about the interested from the club, I was looking forward to coming down and getting started. I’m hoping to repay the club by playing some games.
"I am really impressed with the way the side play football; I think it will really suit me from what I have watched so far this season. I want to help the team continue to get results."
Brennan went on to discuss what he is looking to achieve during his time with the Imps.
"My main objective is to come and get some minutes on the pitch," said Johnson.
"I want to work hard for the team and I’m buzzing to have arrived here. I want consistent football to be able to prove what I can do. I’m looking forward to improving my game here, hopefully I can pop up with goals and assists for the team."
The Welsh international finished by mentioning some familiar faces who have helped him settle in at LNER Stadium: "It will be strange to start with, but the challenge will be exciting, it is different to what I have done before.
"I knew Jorge (Grant), I have played with him a few times even though he's a few years older. I know Bridderz (Liam Bridcutt) as well which will help me settle in a lot easier."
