James Jones has said City will dust themselves down following a frustrating defeat this afternoon.
“We are frustrated today but we haven’t lost sight on the big picture, we will get back to work ahead of Tuesday and look to pick up the result we want.
“It was a good goal that decided it today, but we are disappointed because you don’t want to concede chances like that, we are disappointed to concede any type of goal and we have worked hard this season to keep conceded goals down.
“We will dust ourselves down and go again on Tuesday night at home.”
The Imps midfielder turned his attention to Tuesday’s game describing Portsmouth as a ‘tough test’ with Kenny Jackett’s side currently seventh in the Sky Bet League One table.
“We’re back at home on Tuesday and it will be a tough test,” explained James.
“We are looking forward to it, the lads are great as a group and we have enjoyed working together.
“We are starting to get to know each other’s game more and we are growing our relationships on the pitch the more we play together.
“We will work hard on Tuesday night as a group.”
