Robbie Gotts was disappointed to not secure his place in the Emirates FA Cup third round this afternoon but is ready to return to league action on Tuesday night with the Imps facing Wigan Athletic at LNER Stadium.
The 21-year-old explained how his side played good football against Plymouth Argyle at Home Park, but were frustrated to not find the back of the net: “We are disappointed because we did well, we let them get into the game which is frustrating.
“We have said in the changing room we need to take the chances we make because we play and create some good football, we saw that today, but we just needed to find the net.”
The right-back who's currently on loan from Leeds United continued on a personal level speaking about playing in defence for the second consecutive match.
“I grew into the game,” said Robbie.
“I am learning every week under the gaffer and I am enjoying my experience here at Lincoln.
"I enjoyed having Harry (Anderson) in front of me, it helped having an experienced head there because it allowed me to get forward as well.”

Gotts finished by looking towards Tuesday, discussing how the Imps can now focus on league action after today's Emirates FA Cup clash: “We will focus on the next game; it is a good opportunity to focus on the league and we want to give that a good go.
“We are looking forward to Tuesday night because we’ll be playing back at home after lots of travelling this week. The side will work hard, and we’ll look to get the three points.”
