City go into the match having picked up a point against Accrington Stanley on Saturday in a 0-0 draw. Lincoln now sit sixth in the Sky Bet League One table with 23 points from their opening 12 games.
Michael explained how he was frustrated not to pick up three points at the weekend: “I said after the game, usually I’d be delighted to keep a clean sheet and get a point against a team in form but when they went down to 10 men, I was disappointed we didn’t take advantage of that and score.”
The Imps boss turned his attention to tomorrow night’s game, discussing the opposition who beat Bristol Rovers 1-0 at the weekend.
“It isn’t an easy place to go,” said Michael.
“I am looking forward to it but there is no easy game in this league, if you look at the table that tells you how competitive it is.
“It will be difficult, there will be players there trying to impress the manager.”
The City manager finished by speaking about the man in the opposite dugout, with John Sheridan being a recent appointment at the Energy Check County Ground.
“John is an experienced manager, and he will be getting to know what his best tactic is with this side.
“He was a good footballer himself; I have an idea of how they will setup, I’ve come up against him a number of times and he likes his side to get the ball passed around.
“They have had a difficult start to the season, but they’ve picked four points up in three games and seem to be in a better place.”
