Please take time today to remember those who sadly lost their lives in the Bradford City fire disaster 35 years ago today.
Saturday 11th May 1985 was a day that should have gone down in Bradford City history for all the right reasons as, prior to kick-off in their final game of the season against the Imps, their skipper Peter Jackson (who later managed the Imps) was presented with the Division Three championship trophy.
But a day of celebration turned to a day of tragedy when a fire engulfed the main stand at Valley Parade. Fifty-six supporters, including two City fans - Bill Stacey and Jim West - tragically died as a result of the fire.
Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of all who lost their lives.
Today, club staff and members of the first-team squad will fall silent across social media, as we pay our respects to remember them.
