Akeem Hinds has today joined The Imps after leaving Rotherham United. The 20-year-old defender moves to LNER Stadium signing a short term deal with the club until the end of the season.

City supporters have already had a glimpse of the young fullback as he featured for The Millers against The Imps in the trophy earlier this season. He made his debut for his former club in the same competition back in 2017 as a teenager against Chesterfield and then followed that up against Bradford City a month later. Akeem then graduated from the academy in South Yorkshire and signed his first pro deal with Rotherham in the summer of 2018.

After securing his future he had spells away from the AESSEAL New York Stadium on loan with Frickley Athletic, Hyde United and Bradford Park Avenue who he joined at the start of this season before returning to his parent club at the end of August.

Akeem has been allocated the number 3 shirt, welcome to The Imps, Akeem.
