Joe Morrell understands the side need to do better in their next game after conceding late to Southend United in SkyBet League One action.
"Disappointed is an understatement, we were not good enough today and it is completely unacceptable," said Joe.
"We aspire to be a top club but we need to be better if we want to be that.
"We had periods where we were good but they weren't long enough. We showed glimpses today but that will never win you a football match.
"You don't get anywhere if you don't treat the game as an FA Cup final and Southend have treated today's game like it was a cup final."
The midfielder went on to speak about going forward with the Imps: "I made it clear to a lot of people that I was keen to stay here because the club has done more for me than I have done for it.
"I am very keen to repay their faith and if I can make my contribution then I will be happy. I need to be playing every week especially if I want to be playing for Wales in the summer.
"The gaffer has definitely brought my game on and that is another reason why I wanted to play here for the rest of the season."
