Our charity partners, Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance have just launched an exciting challenge to help keep their helicopter in the sky.
Could you run, walk or cycle 100km and help them to continue their life saving work? If so, why not join them and take part in their September Base to Base 100km challenge?
Why 100km? Well it is the average distance their helicopter covers when flying to a patient, transporting them to hospital and then travelling back to the airbase.
Their crews have continued to respond to the most serious 999 calls throughout the pandemic. However, their income has been impacted by Covid-19 as all community fundraising events have been cancelled and the shops have been closed. As they don’t receive any government funding, they rely solely on donations from generous people like you.
Your mission is to help them reach as many patients as you can during the month of September, any way you like. You can set the challenge to your own level, completing multiples of 100km or even sharing the distance in a team. The Air Ambulance respond to an average of three emergencies per day so how about setting yourself the target of 300km? It’s your challenge – your way! They also have some great prizes to give away!
You can sign up HERE and share your target and progress with your friends, family and colleagues on your Just Giving Page. How many patients can you reach in the 30 days of September?
