The fixtures have been revealed this morning at 9am ahead of the new campaign which kicks off in a matter of weeks.
Michael Appleton’s side will take on Oxford United in the season opener at home as the 2020/21 campaign gets underway on Saturday 12th September 2020. The Imps then make the trip to Stadium:MK the following weekend.
October is packed full of action for The Imps with no less than seven games across the month. A journey west to Blackpool is first up along with visits to Fleetwood Town, Crewe Alexandra and Doncaster Rovers. In between those away trips are home games against Bristol Rovers, Plymouth Argyle and Ipswich Town.
Moving into the festive period, City will face a trip to Northampton Town on 19th December. Burton Albion travel to LNER Stadium on Boxing Day and our last game of the calendar year is against local rivals Hull City. Our first fixture of 2021 sees us face AFC Wimbledon away on 2nd January.
March sees us visit Ipswich Town and Sunderland as we play six games across the month before Easter Monday awaits with a trip to the capital, as Charlton Athletic are our hosts.
The final three games of the season begin at the end of April with Hull City coming to LNER Stadium, ahead of our last away trip of the season in early May vs Posh. The final game of the regular season is back at home, with AFC Wimbledon visiting on Saturday May 8th 2020.
