We are pleased to welcome our charity partner Linkage Community Trust to Sincil Bank this weekend as the Imps take on Sunderland.
Linkage are a Lincolnshire based registered charity that supports people with learning disabilities. They deliver high-quality specialist education, care, employment and support services throughout the county and beyond.
Our Charity Partner will be having a bucket collection around the ground and we ask supporters to please donate generously for a great cause.
Linkage have played an important part with one Imp fan named Mikey, a well-known face around Sincil Bank.
Lifelong Imp fan Mikey has a number of medical conditions including Soto syndrome, cerebral palsy and autism.
In 2018, Mikey made a big jump towards independence when he moved out of his family home and into Linkage Residential Care in Lincoln. Due to his disabilities the change had to be carefully planned and facilitated.
Linkage put in place a transition plan in the months leading up to the move which meant that when Mikey started his own version of an independent chapter.
He and his family are proud to be a part of the Linkage family. They say Mikey would not be thriving in his new life without the care and attention to detail Linkage went to in order to make his life as happy as possible.
Mikey is so pleased Linkage are club partners for the year as he himself (maybe with a little help from his Mum) nominated them. Every penny counts to make Mikey and his Linkage friends’ smiles that bit wider.
