Imps legend Gordon Hobson has shown his support to the Lincoln City Youth Academy by sponsoring Lincoln-born attacking midfielder, Tobias Liversidge.
Hobson, who made 387 appearances across two spells between 1978 and 1990, was a popular figure at Sincil Bank throughout the 80s, scoring more than 100 goals and sits third in City's all-time league scorers.
The former striker, who was one of numerous City players of that era to move on to Division One football, says that he is proud to maintain his connection with the club.
"It is a pleasure for me to sponsor one of the Academy boys," Hobson said.
"I see it as a way of giving something back into the football club that gave me so much, and the memories will live with me for ever."
