Tyler Walker has said he wants to keep up his goalscoring form after scoring twice in City's 2-0 victory over Fleetwood Town this afternoon.
Walker scored twice in two minutes to extend City's 100 per cent straight at home in Sky Bet League One to three games.
The 22-year-old has now scored four goals in six league games for the Imps with his first two coming against Southend United and MK Dons.
Speaking about today’s performance, Walker explained how it took City a while to take control of the game before eventually coming out as winners: “It was a great game, I felt that in the first 30 minutes it could have been anyone’s game but from then on it transformed into life and we managed to get the two goals before half time.”
The former England U20 international continued by discussing life under Danny and Nicky Cowley as well as how he has settled in with the group at Sincil Bank.
“The gaffer and Nick want us to do well and they make sure we are prepared for every game in detail so you can’t ask for much more really,” said Walker.
“All the boys have helped me settle in, we are creating chances so I am really happy and pleased to be working for the gaffer and Nicky as well as all the boys.
“I just want to keep up the good form and hopefully we can have a good season.”
Lincoln have now won four of their opening six SkyBet League One fixtures and face Wycombe Wanderers in league action after a trip to Doncaster Rovers in the Leasing.com EFL Trophy on Tuesday.
Tyler finished by looking forward to next weekend, speaking about the importance of today’s victory.
“After the last three results, we felt it was vital to get three points and a clean sheet under our belts again.
“I’m looking forward to playing in front of the fans again, they always give their all and you can’t fault that. Hopefully at Wycombe it will be another good game and another win for us.”
