190403 Imps MK

Since their formation in 2004, the Imps and MK Dons have locked horns in league and cup battles on seven occasions, with plenty of familiar names on the scoresheet for either side, including former and future Premier League talent.

Marvin Robinson scored the first goal in a fixture between the two sides in the FA Cup in 2005, with Gareth Edds equalising forcing a replay, which MK Dons won.

City's first win against MK Dons arrived this season, and at the seventh attempt, as Jason Shackell's last-gasp header at Sincil Bank in September secured the three points over Paul Tisdale's side.

Several players have donned the MK and Imps shirts, with the most recent occurring almost a decade ago.

Here we take a look at five of the names that have appeared in the MK white and Lincoln red and white stripes.

Westcarr had become Nottingham Forest's youngest ever played in 2001, but found appearances at the City Ground to be limited.

The defensive midfielder arrived at the Bank in a loan spell from MK Dons in 2010, before the move became permanent in January, 2011.

Howell's playing time with the Imps wasn't maximised due to numerous injuries that he picked up throughout the season, and he left Sincil Bank in the summer.

The 32-year-old has since had spells with Boreham Wood, sandwiched between two spells at Dagenham & Redbridge, before joining Aldershot Town in the summer of 2018.
