We are pleased to announce that this weekend’s highly anticipated fixture against Notts County will be the first to have full commentary via BBC Radio Lincolnshire on the Imps iFollow platform.

This represents the start of a broadcasting partnership between the local BBC radio station and Lincoln City which will enhance the supporter experience for those who cannot always get to watch City in action live.

Not only will the full game be broadcast live on the subscription service, the partnership between Lincoln City and the BBC will also include all the broadcasting from 2pm right through to 6pm, with news, interviews and post match reaction from Michael Hortin, Rob Makepeace and Steve Thompson.

The coverage will continue right through the remainder of the 2017/18 season, and the partnership is something which excites BBC Radio Lincolnshire Managing Editor, Charlie Partridge.

‘We are pleased to be able to work in partnership with Lincoln City to keep the Imps’ fans across the world up to date with the club’s games for what promises to be a dramatic end to the season.”

The Imps’ Chief Executive Liam Scully added: ‘We are pleased to be able to partner with BBC Radio Lincolnshire in bringing their output to the club’s iFollow platform, enhancing the subscribers experience on a matchday, be it live from Sincil Bank or around the country following The Imps.

“We are thankful for the work of Chris Ashton, Kevin Morley and Alan Long for their dedicated and fastidious commitment to our supporters and the commentary for a number of years and their commitment to the club will continue to be utilised, as they remain a vital part of Lincoln City Football Club going forward.”
