The Imps have been drawn away to Sky Bet League One side Rochdale in Round Three of the Checkatrade Trophy.
The tie will be played week commencing January, 8th at the Crown Oil Arena.
It's the final regionalised round of the competition, with the team that progresses gaining entry into the Quarter-Finals of the competition.
The trip to Dale will be the first time City have faced Keith Hill's side since a 1-1 draw in March, 2010.
