Experienced midfielder Tom Champion has joined the Imps on a 93-day loan from Barnet.
After being developed by Watford, Barnet-born Tom began his professional career with the Bees as part of Paul Fairclough’s Conference-winning squad in 2004/05 and after a brief spell on loan at Wealdstone he spent five years with Bishop's Stortford.In the summer of 2010 he moved to Dartford after a short stint at Brainttree Town, and helped the club reach the top tier of non-League football before moving to Cambridge United.
He spent two successful years at the Abbey Stadium that saw him help the U’s to promotion from The Conference as well as lifting the FA Trophy at Wembley Stadium. This before captaining the side in their first season back in The Football League. He rejoined Barnet in May 2015.
The 30-year-old has been handed the vacant number 26 squad shirt and will go straight into the squad for Tuesday night's home game against Solihull Moors.
