A special military six-a-side tournament will take place on the 3G pitch prior to Saturday's home game against Aldershot Town.
The Lincolnshire Services Association Football League (LSAFL) have organised the tournament, which will be held in conjunction with the Football Club as part of an ongoing affiliation between the two parties that was setup last year.
This tournament is attracting teams from throughout Lincolnshire and the East Midlands and also includes a Lincoln City FC 'Veterans' team, which will see some familiar faces in action once again.
Start time of the tournament is going to be 10.00am, with a finish time of approximately 1.30pm.
Participating teams are: RAF Waddington, RAF Cranwell, RAF Digby, RAF Coningsby x 2, Team Sport 90, MPGS – Waddington, Air Warfare Centre, Lincs Fire & Rescue, 2 Regiment Royal Anglian, 7 Regiment - TLR and LCFC Veterans.
"On behalf of the RAF a big thanks goes out to everybody at Lincoln City FC for hosting the football tournament," said Tournament Organisers Cpl Trevor Lent & SAC Shane Mitchley.
"Big thanks also goes out to Lincoln City FC for inviting the Armed Forces to unite and support the team that have shared a strong military connection for a very long time.
"Being able to work with Lincoln City FC and show our support for the team just demonstrates the close affiliation between the RAF, LSAFL and Lincoln City FC.
"It also demonstrates just some of the fantastic opportunities serving in the RAF provides. Being able to play sports and get involved with the local community shows there is more than just working a day job in the RAF."
