There were no fewer than seven changes to the starting line-up for this Vanarama Conference game at Dartford, the last of the 2014/15 season with goalkeeper Aidan Grant handed his debut and Alex Simmons his first start. Also back in the fold were Nat Brown, Tony Diagne, Jon Nolan, Conner Robinson and Jordan Burrow.
After a minute's silence in memory of the Bradford Fire Disaster 30 years ago, City kicked off with the first incident of note coming in the fourth minute as skipper Alan Power picked up a harsh booking following a foul on Noble.
A couple of minutes later a Dartford corner ended with Callum Driver driving wide from just inside the box whilst at the other end City's first attack of note saw Tom Miller cross for Jordan Burrow who saw his header saved by Deren Ibrahim.
Shortly afterwards Ronnie Vint was deservedly booked following a shocking challenge from behind on Burrow before an instinctive strike from Alex Simmons was saved well by Ibrahim before the home defence scrambled the loose ball clear.
City dealt with a second Dartford corner in the 16th minute whilst five minutes later Lee Noble left a foot in on Hamza Bencherif but escaped a card. Burrow then headed a Power free-kick just wide whilst at the other end a good block from Bencherif saw him deny Ryan Hayes.
In the 26th minute Power had an effort held by Ibrahim following a decent passage of City play before Burrow fired over when perhaps a slide pass to team mate Simmons - looking lively on his full debut - would have been the better option.
A meaty challenge from behind on Burrow earned home skipper Elliot Bradbrook a 31st minute yellow card; this coming before the advancing Miller met a dangerous Simmons cross only to divert wide.
A minute before the break City's first corner saw Power cross for Diagne whose goalbound header was superbly saved by Ibrahim. The half ended after a Dartford corner came to nothing.

The teams emerged unchanged for the start of the second half and City were the first to press with a deflected Simmons effort leading to a City corner which in turn led to another which was headed goalwards by Nat Brown but claimed by Ibrahim.
Bradbrook dragged a low 56th minute effort wide from 25 yards and good work four minutes later at the opposite end of the field saw Robinson win a throw which ended up with Nolan having a volley deflected out for what turned out to be an unproductive corner.
In the 65th minuute Ben Tomlinson replaced Alex Simmons and the substitute was quickly in the action, linking up with Power before firing wide. The hosts then brought on Harry Crawford and Tom Bradbrook for Andy Pugh and Danny Harris.
Crawford's first taste of the action was to go in hard on Brown and the resultant free-kick ended with Diagne hooking wide. Elliot Hodge then replaced Conner Robinson for his City debut.
With a quarter of an hour remaining a looping Burrow header from a Diagne free-kick went just over with Dartford's response seeing Nat Brown head an effort off the line following a home corner before Grant punched to safety.
Becka-Kah Dembele for Nathan Green was Dartford's final switch and for the final nine minutes Delano Sam-Yorke was given a run out with Jordan Burrow making way.
An 88th minute corner to Dartford was claimed well by Grant before the debutant keeper claimed a Bradbrook effort as the Fourth Official indicated that a minimum of three minutes were to be added on.
The last action of the game came in the form of a Dartford corner which was claimed by Grant who marked his first team bow with a deserved clean sheet.
