On Saturday 22nd February 2014 Lincoln City FC Sport & Education Trust will be launching their new fundraising programme called ‘Inspiring Lives Appeal’.
The ‘Inspiring Lives Appeal’ has been created by the Sport & Education Trust as we would like to raise money for the local area and specifically individuals and families living in areas of deprivation and the disabled.
The money will go to support individuals trying to access sporting opportunities and to support individuals who need support to purchase much needed equipment and / or help to support their lives.
One of the first goals is to support a young boy who is in need of an electric wheelchair.
Ben Comins, whose brother Sam is a season ticket holder, has Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension (IIH), a neurological condition of unknown cause defined by increased intracranial pressure (ICP) around the brain without the presence of tumour or disease.
Ben was an active member of our holiday clubs but now requires additional care and support due to the severity of his condition. By supporting Ben and his family we aim to raise money to help purchase his own wheelchair.
The Sport & Education Trust will be delivering numerous events to raise money for the appeal plus they would like to encourage individuals to fundraise and come forward to choose this appeal to donate their fundraising.
So far they have individuals running the Lincoln 10K in April for them which is greatly appreciated and all the money will go to the appeal. Furthermore they have already raised money through two football tournaments and look to continue increasing the amount of money raised.
If you would like to donate directly then please visit www.justgiving.com/lcfcsportandeducationtrust or Text: LIVE01 (£amount) to 70070 and help us give back to the community.
