Costa Coffee celebrated the opening of its latest branch in Lincoln this week and some of the Imps' youth team squad were on hand to support the event.
Local favourite Conner Robinson officially cut the ribbon and the players then spent time talking to staff and customers. The squad were supporting the event as a thank you to Costa Coffee who have very kindly provided the Club's whole Youth Academy - from Under 9s through to Under 18s - with brand new team kit bags for next season.
Costa Coffee Regional Manager Leigh Calladine said: "We were delighted to support the Academy at Lincoln City Football Club. Developing links with in the local community is one of Costa Coffee's key initiatives and we hope this partnership with the Club's youth department can continue."
Roger Bates, Chairman of the Youth Board, added: "This is a fantastic gesture from Costa Coffee and one which will benefit everyone in the youth department tremendously. With the recent launch of our Future Imps Fund - a business initiative designed to help fill the funding gap once our central funding ceases in June - links with local businesses, and national brands such as Costa Coffee, is something we are working hard to develop and we were delighted to come along and support today's opening."
