Striker Signs Two-Year Deal

Alfreton Town striker Ben Tomlinson has today joined the Club for an undisclosed fee.

Tomlinson, who worked with manager Gary Simpson at Macclesfield Town prior to his move to Alfreton, has penned a two-year contract.

The 23-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at Worksop Town, joined Macclesfield in the summer of 2011 but his solitary season at Moss Rose saw him miss four months through injury, restricting his Football League experience.

He signed for Alfreton in August 2012 and bagged 14 goals in all competitions last season, including a hat-trick in the Reds' 5-1 win over Hyde in February.

He has taken the vacant number 11 squad shirt.
