Stockport County striker Craig Hobson has today joined the Club on loan until the end of the season.
Bolton-born Hobson joined Stockport last summer following a prolific season with Stalybridge Celtic and scored six goals from his 17 starts for the Hatters, including one in their 3-3 against the Imps at Sincil Bank in October.
A former youth with Sheffield United, Hobson (24) enjoyed success with Kendal Town prior to joining Stalybridge, with the tall target man netting 26 times for the Cumbrian side in 2008-09.
He has been handed the number 23 shirt and will go straight into the squad for Saturday's Blue Square Bet Premier game against Dartford. A clause in his loan deal, meanwhile, will mean that he won't be able to feature against his parent club at Edgeley Park next Tuesday.
"Craig's a young man who's eager to play for the Imps and with both myself and Grant Brown having watched him over the course of the season we feel we're bringing in an energetic young striker to help us continue our scoring exploits on the pitch," said manager David Holdsworth.
