City's Youths completed their pre-season fixture programme with a narrow win at Nettleham on Tuesday evening.
Josh Barr-Rostron had a header disallowed and Jordan Harper hit the crossbar, while Nick Green saw his close range effort blocked on the line. But a fine finish from Alex Simmons on the hour mark sealed victory in a very hard-working performance.
And after a busy seven-game schedule the young Imps are now looking forward to their first Youth Alliance League fixture of the season with an away trip to Rotherham on Saturday.
