The Board of Directors are pleased to confirm that Damian Froggatt is to be the Youth Academy's new Head.
Damian has previously been Assistant Head of Youth at the Club and last season played an active role in managing the Academy to allow Head of Youth Grant Brown to support the first team manager.
Damian has been at the club since 2005, working in the Sport & Education Trust and coaching teams in the Club's Centre of Excellence before becoming Assistant Head of Youth at the start of last season.
"I am delighted that Damian has accepted my offer to become Head of Youth," said Youth Director Roger Bates.
"He has a wealth of experience in coaching young players at the Club and did a great job covering for the time Grant spent with the first team last season.
"Damian joined the Youth Academy at a time when he knew its future could be in doubt but he believed strongly we could raise the funds needed to stay in business.
"In recent months he has been a key player in both the planning of the Future Imps Fund and in securing sponsorship and investment. I look forward to working with him as we continue to develop future first team players for our football club.
"I would like to thank Grant for the excellent work he has done over many years as Assistant and then Head of Youth.
"He led the Academy during a period when it faced financial pressures but with his commitment and the support of his coaches still produced players who secured professional contracts at the Club and others who moved to higher-placed clubs to the financial benefit of Lincoln City.
"I wish him every success as a key member of Gary Simpson's management team this season."
