U18 head coach Ash Foyle has challenged his team to take more responsibility following their defeat in the Youth Alliance Cup.
Foyle thought City were dominant in the first half and were unlucky to find themselves 1-0 down at the break and was pleased with his side's battling spirit to come out in the second half and force an equaliser.
Bailey Adamson, who has now notched two goals in as many games for Foyle’s side, scored the leveller for City but it wasn’t enough to secure a place in the second round of the cup with Wrexham hitting two late goals against the run of play.
Foyle said: “We were the dominant team in the first half and probably unfortunate to be behind at half time. In the second half we started on the front foot and had some good chances before forcing the equaliser.
“That should have given us the momentum, but we had to rely on Isaac Allan to make two outstanding saves. We then conceded a poor goal on the 87th minute and then a third right at the death and so we have to take more responsibility both as a team and individuals to do our jobs well all of the time.”
