Eden looks to build on first goal

City defender Eden Pedersen is ready to bounce back after getting her first goal of the season against Solihull.

The Imps took an early lead against Solihull at Moorlands on Sunday through the left-back’s goal in the first minute.

She said: “It was good to score my first goal this season. The result got away from us, but it was nice to get on the score sheet and hopefully we can improve from here.

“I think there were positives and the team worked well for each other. Hopefully we should get back to winning and get some results on the board.”

The Imps will make the long trip to face Wem Town Fc, who are level on points with City, next weekend.

Pedersen added: "It will be a tough game away from home. The travel will be long, but we will have to get our heads together and give it our all."

City are back in action at Moorlands when they host Sheffield FC on Thursday 13 October. Tickets cost just £5 and can be purchased now
