City announced the appointment of highly-rated Michael Skubala as head coach on Monday 13 November 2023 following a rigorous recruitment process.

Skubala has more than 20 years of elite coaching experience, with a number of roles with the Football Association culminating in being part of the England U18 team. He had previously led the England futsal strategy and acted as manager for the national teams - having overseen more than 200 games as an international head coach.

Skubala has gone onto manage over 100 games for the Imps and guided the team to Sky Bet League One success in the 2025/26 campaign. Along the way he also managed to scoop the accolade of Manager of the Season in a historic season for City.
