City completed the signing of forward Frankie Okoronkwo on a season long loan from Premier League side Everton in August 2025.

Okoronkwo signed for Everton from Sunderland in 2021 as a 16-year-old and has further developed his game with the Toffees, making 40 appearances in Premier League 2 with 14 goal contributions.

The 20-year-old enjoyed his first taste of professional football in 2024/25, featuring 22 times for Salford City on loan in Sky Bet League Two. He notched his first senior goal for the Ammies on his debut with a late winner against MK Dons.

He made his City debut in August 2025, coming on as a substitute against Northampton Town.
