As part of Volunteers Week, staff from BT Openreach were once again on hand to assist the Imps with preparations for the 2025/26 season at the LNER Stadium.

Volunteers Week is annual UK-wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contribution of volunteers. A team of BT Openreach staff spent two days at the stadium helping with a range of tasks including electrical work, cleaning and general maintenance.

Ellie Sprigg, head of compliance and facilities, said: “We’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone involved with BT Openreach, who gave their time to assist us with preparations for the 2025/26 season.

“This is the second year in a row we’ve been able to count on them for assistance and we’re extremely grateful for their dedication and hard work.

“I’d also like to take the opportunity to thank my own team, who have also been working tirelessly to ensure we’re ready to go for the new season.”

All the work done by the volunteers has made a massive difference in helping make sure that the club will be ready for the 2025/26 season.
