City and the club’s Foundation are running a pioneering scheme known as Attendance4Attendance designed to boost school attendance but also to ignite a passion for learning through the magic of football.

The message at the heart of Attendance4Attendance is to reward dedication to education with the thrill of witnessing the Imps at the LNER Stadium. For many youngsters, the prospect of cheering on their local heroes from the stands serves as a compelling incentive to prioritise attendance and engagement in their studies.

The two matches during the half-term holiday dedicated to schools that have enrolled so far were against Fleetwood Town and Exeter City. These games saw hundreds of junior fans in attendance at the LNER Stadium, all thanks to the Attendance4Attendance initiative.

Lasse Sorensen made a recent visit to Ermine Primary School for a school assembly, during which he emphasised the significance of attendance in football and in school. Additionally, Lasse took the time to engage with the 15 children who had demonstrated excellent attendance throughout the term and were present in the stands to cheer on the Imps during the Fleetwood Town fixture.

The impact of this program extends far beyond the confines of the football pitch. By nurturing a culture of regular attendance and active participation, Attendance4Attendance lays the groundwork for future success, instilling vital life skills such as discipline, resilience, and teamwork in the hearts of young learners.

If your school within the Lincoln area would like to get on board with Attendance4Attendance please email A4a@theredimps.com
