Freddie Draper described the passion he has for the Imps after the young striker bagged his first league goal for City in a 1-1 draw at Reading.
Draper returned from a successful loan spell at Walsall in January and made an impact off the bench against the Royals to stretch his side’s unbeaten run to 16 games.
Draper said: "It’s a brilliant moment for me to get on the score-sheet.
"I’ve had to wait a little bit and it just shows how much passion I have for this club and how much I want to do well.
"It’s a good point, they’re a good team and we’re still unbeaten, and we’re still very much looking forward to the next four games."
The striker’s first league goal in City colours has been coming with recent performances off the bench helping the Imps extend their long unbeaten streak, and Draper thanked the fans for their continued support.
He added: "I’ve got back to myself and I’m playing how I want to play, and I’m enjoying my football.
"I’ve got a role in the team at the moment and if I can chip in with a few goals I’ll do that.
"The fans have been brilliant and they helped the team on, and hopefully in the last four games they’ll be a big part for us and they’ll get behind us even more."
