Paudie O’Connor believes City have nothing to lose on Tuesday night when they travel down to Oxford United.
City will be aiming to put together another unbeaten run starting with the trip to the Kassam Stadium but O’Connor has explained that the pressure will be on the hosts to secure maximum points.
He said: “There’s still a lot to play for going into the game against Oxford, so we have to be positive and give everything on the night.”
“Oxford have been on a decent run themselves, they’ve found a bit of form. It’s a tough place to go but there’s a lot of our supporters coming down and we’ll go out there with nothing to lose.
City’s skipper is delighted with the progress the club have made during the past few months and believes no matter how the season ends, it will hold the Imps in good stead for the future.
He added: “There’s been a feel good factor around the place. The lads are in a good place so whatever happens in the next couple of weeks, the squad and club as a whole are in a better place than it was before the run.”
