Lasse Sorensen is looking forward to the special atmosphere surrounding the festive fixtures.
City take on Bolton Wanderers and Northampton Town at home before the end of the year, with the Dane expressing his excitement ahead of the games.
He said: “I do enjoy the games over the festive period and I think that’s the special thing about English football.
"I like the Christmas period where there’s loads of football, and the atmosphere around the games is a bit special too."
Sorensen also knows the challenge facing the Imps when welcoming promotion-chasing Bolton to the LNER Stadium.
He added: “Bolton are a really good team. It’s difficult to judge it in the first game of the season but Bolton have kept their form going since then and are doing well.
“We also believe we are a good team and that we can get something out of the game though.”
