Mark Kennedy is eager for a positive finish to his first season as City’s head coach.
With eight games to go, the Irishman is keen to kick on from a positive point gained at Hillsborough throughout a hectic April.
He said: “The key is always to follow up a good result with another strong performance. The problem with the league is there is so many good teams, and it’s only going to get tougher. Everybody can beat anyone so if you change how you approach any match, you will come unstuck.
“I’d like to finish as strong as possible so everybody goes away happy and confident in what we’re doing, but I tend to judge the season as a whole and we’d still like to get a few more wins under our belt.”
The key for City’s head coach is to continue approaching each game with a consistent mindset, a method he has implemented since the season kicked-off.
He added: “We talk a lot about our approach and mentality and if we don’t match Cheltenham in those areas, we will make it very difficult for ourselves.
“We have always looked forwards and upwards, but we have never gotten ahead of ourselves and have always focussed on the next game.”
