Ahead of the home Papa Johns Trophy matches, the club can update fans as to the planned stadium opening procedures for the group fixtures versus Doncaster Rovers and Newcastle United U21s.

The areas open to supporters are the GBM Lower and SRP Stand. The Rilmac Stand will also be open for wheelchair users with away fans housed in the Stacey West Stand.

Chief executive Liam Scully said: “We are obviously keen to keep as much of the stadium open as possible giving fans the opportunities to sit in their regular seats however with the increased operating costs and general expense of the games, we have taken the difficult decision to reduce our open areas.

“The reduced stadium opening will save significant costs which include staffing and cleaning along with allowing us to focus our catering resource to a number of points as opposed to being spread out across the whole stadium.

“In reaching this decision we have tried to consider all views including dialogue with our supporters board, and we will continue to keep this decision under review.”

“If you do have any specific feedback relating to this matter, please email feedback@theredimps.com. Thank you for your continued support”.

City currently sit top of Northern Group E and face Doncaster Rovers in their second match of the Papa Johns Trophy on Tuesday September 20 at the LNER Stadium. Purchase your tickets HERE.
