International Imps round-up

There were plenty of moments to be proud of for our international Imps over the latest break.

Full-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy featured in all of England’s group matches. His side recorded wins in all three fixtures as well as Brooke registering an assist in the vital 2-0 win over Portugal which sealed the Young Lions’ place as Group 3 champions and qualification for the UEFA U19 European Championship.

Rep of Ireland 1 England 3 (substituted after 77 minutes)

England 4-0 Armenia (substituted after 77 minutes)

England 2-0 Portugal (substituted after 71 minutes)

Featuring in the same group as Brooke was versatile defender Sean Roughan. The Irishman featured at the heart of the defence for his side as they finished third but missed out on qualification for the finals.

Armenia 0 Rep of Ireland 4 (substituted after 46 minutes)

North of the border, Sam Long and Lewis Fiorini both featured within the Scotland squad for their European U21 Championship qualifying group games. Lewis started in the Scots’ loss against Turkey, while Sam Long featured in the squad that travelled to the draw out in Kazakhstan.
