Lincoln City have been placed in Northern Group E for the 2022/23 Papa John’s Trophy.
The Imps have been drawn alongside Sky Bet League Two side Doncaster Rovers as well as fellow Sky Bet League One team Barnsley. Group E will then be made up by an invited U21 Premier League side.
The draw for the invited U21 teams will take place live on Sky Sports at 11.30am on Thursday 23 June.
Mark Kennedy’s side will come up against one of the following at the LNER Stadium:
- Everton U21
- Leeds United U21
- Leicester City U21
- Liverpool U21
- Manchester City U21
- Manchester United U21
- Newcastle United U21
- Wolverhampton Wanderers U21
All EFL clubs will play two of their three matches at home in the group stages, with the opening ties to take place week commencing 29 August.
