A message from the chairman

Dear Fellow Imps

You may have seen this week that the EFL has launched a brand new campaign aimed at promoting and celebrating positive fan behaviour at football.

Following the widely publicised increase in antisocial behaviour, pitch incursions and use of pyrotechnics last season, fan behaviour and the reputation of our beloved game will be increasingly under the spotlight and the message ‘Love Football, Protect the Game’ will feature heavily in both club and EFL communications.

At Lincoln City, we have worked closely with supporter groups and the authorities to ensure our policies and procedures in relation to tackling these issues are both robust and fair, and we will only implement our sanctions policy when absolutely required to do so.

That said, we are incredibly proud to be the heartbeat of the community with such a diverse and growing fan base, and we value and rejoice in the incredibly loyal support we receive from such a cross-section of society. We are also fully committed to ensuring that we deliver a safe and enjoyable experience for every supporter, and so we fully support the EFL campaign and the efforts which the authorities are making to make football a safe place for everyone.

Finally, a huge thank you to the 5,800 supporters who have once again renewed their Gold Membership, and to every single supporter who continues to support Lincoln City in such difficult economic times. Your unwavering support is truly magnificent.

So, as we look forward to the coming season with renewed hope and excitement, please lets all come together at the LNER Stadium as we continue to share and make memories.

Yours

Clive Nates

Chairman
