City defender, Adam Jackson, says he and his teammates are relishing what they anticipate will be challenging encounter against Fleetwood on Tuesday evening amidst a run of tough games.
The Imps will be eyeing a hat-trick of wins in eight days after the win at Charlton on Saturday which Jackson described as a “weird” game.
He said: “It was a massive win, but it was a weird game. They started well, we had good spells, and the main thing was to get it over the line and pick up the three points after a sticky few months.
“Conceding so late was frustrating, Jordan made one massive save from a header, but I don’t think they created clear opportunities and a 2-0 win would have been such a nice score line rather than 2-1.”
Next up for City on the fixture is list is a “battle” in Lancashire against Fleetwood, a challenge Adam said his teammates will relish.
He added: “It’s another big game against a team around us so it’s another good chance for three points. We know it will be a completely different game compared to Saturday given the pitch and the conditions so it will be more of a battle then a football game and we’re ready for that.
“We want to get it down and play but you can’t do that all the time, the lads know it will be a hard pitch to play on and they might go a bit more direct so I think everyone is relishing the battle.
