Lewis Montsma believes there is still more to come from him despite establishing himself as a regular in the starting line-up.
The centre-back has been one of the first names on the Imps' teamsheet this season, making 13 appearances in all competitions.
He said: "I was injured at the start of the season so I'm happy that I'm playing now, but not exactly where I want to be - my performance-levels can be better.
"Having a year at this level already helps me a lot in what is my second season. I now know what I'm up against most weeks, but there are also load of new strong teams and every game in this division is hard and tough."
Montsma is looking forward to Saturday's trip to Sheffield Wednesday, where the Imps will be backed by more than 3,000 fans.
He added: "It's going to be good with that many people travelling, I'm really looking forward to it.
"It helps that some of us have played in front of big crowds before. If you experience it a couple of times before then you know what to expect from these kinds of games."
