We are proud to announce that Imps forward Tom Hopper has been nominated for the Inspirational Sportsperson Award at the annual Lincolnshire Sport & Physical Activity Awards.

In July, Tom launched a fundraising campaign to support FiSH called #MoveforMealsChallenge. FiSH, Food in School Holidays, is a Lincoln-based charity that provides food vouchers to families in need.

The Imps forward was pleased to be nominated for the award saying: “It’s an honour to be put forward for the award. I’m a big believer in the benefits of physical activity and I was lucky to be given the opportunity to try and help the community with the Move for Meals Challenge with the backing of the Lincoln City Foundation and the first team squad!”

More than 30 finalists, across 11 categories have been selected from over 200 nominations received. This year’s awards aim to highlight and say thank you to some of the incredible people, groups and organisations that have helped to keep Lincolnshire active and healthy during this challenging year.

Lincoln City Foundation and partnership with Lincoln City FC have been nominated for the Active Club award with Senior Community Organiser, Alice Carter also receiving a nomination for Inspirational Sportsperson.
