Following victory against Crewe Alexandra in the first round of the Carabao Cup yesterday, The Imps have been rewarded with a trip to take on Bradford City, the winners will host Liverpool in round three.
Goals from Tom Hopper and Lewis Montsma earned City a place in the second round and Michael Appleton will now take his squad to take on the Bantams aiming to progress to the 3rd round of the competition with a mouth watering prospect to follow.
Should City get the better of Bradford in West Yorkshire, The Imps will welcome Premier League champions, Liverpool to LNER Stadium.
The 2nd round game will be played in the week commencing the 14th September, on a date to be confirmed.
