Conor McGrandles has had a successful start to his Lincoln City career, featuring in all three of the Imps’ successful Sky Bet League One victories.

The Falkirk-born midfielder arrived at LNER Stadium over the summer following a three-year spell with fellow Sky Bet League One side, MK Dons where he won promotion from League Two during the 2018/19 season.

McGrandles has enjoyed the start to his time with the Imps, describing the settling in period as ‘easy’.

“It has started well for us this season, and for me on a personal level, everyone has been so welcoming,” said the 25-year-old.

“It’s been easy settling in at the club, the people we have in all jell really well and we all get along, it makes training easy and we have a great group here. We’ve been playing well, and the manager has the system that works really well for us, especially with three midfielders.”

Conor went on to praise team mate and club captain Liam Bridcutt for his influence on and off the field: “Liam is a great player and a great talker.

"He settles you on the pitch and on the training field, when he isn’t playing he is still a massive influence for us all, you can always hear him on the side line.”

The Imps midfielder continued by speaking about the good start the side have had following league victories over Oxford, MK Dons and Charlton Athletic.

“It’s only the start, so we won’t get carried away, but we have started well which gives us confidence going forward,” said McGrandles.

“The games have come thick and fast for us, so the break from a midweek game was needed. It makes things a little easier for the weekend.”

Conor finished by looking to Saturday’s game, speaking about Blackpool as an opponent: “It will be a really hard game, they are a tough side, they were last season and will be again this season. I have played them a few times and they always put up a fight.

“Even though we have held out and got results so far, having fans will always give us an extra little percentage, the fans are always going to be missed.”
