Mark Cooper's side currently sit third in the Sky Bet League Two table winning six of their opening 11 games, most recently picking up three points on Tuesday with a 2-1 win over Leyton Orient.

Odin Bailey and Mathew Stevens both got on the scoresheet for Forest Green, Stevens now has five goals in seven appearances this season. Two of his goals have come in the league with the remaining three being scored in the Papa John's Trophy.

Opposition Comments

Forest Green boss Mark Cooper spoke highly of the Imps ahead of this weekend's fixture.

The 51-year-old has described City as a 'good football team' and said he is looking forward to the game at LNER Stadium.

"It will be a tough game, they were the top ranked side in the draw and have had a good start to the season.

"We are lucky to be playing and working so it should be a good game because we both like to play football and create chances. I am really impressed with what they are doing this season, they are a good football team.

"They are organised and easy on the eye, we are looking forward to the game on Saturday."

One to Watch - Jamille Matt

The 31-year-old striker arrived at the Innocent New Lawn in the summer following a two-year spell with Newport County where he scored 20 league goals in 76 appearances.

Matt scored a hat-trick earlier in the season for Forest Green Rovers in their 4-1 Sky Bet League Two win over Scunthorpe United. The forward scored the winner in his side's 2-1 win over Morecambe last month.
