From your first time watching the Imps, to meeting your hero, to your favourite away day, we’d love to read your stories and feature them in our brand-new book.
This book (which will be compiled by Gary Hutchinson from the Stacey West Blog) will be packed full of memories from our supporters and former players.
We will also be offering a prize to all supporters whose stories feature within the book which will include a copy signed by Michael Appleton at a launch event (TBC). Following submission, all of the entries will be considered via our panel where a selection of the stories will be published in the book. The panel will include;
- Gary Hutchinson (Stacey West Blog)
- Alan Johnson (Freelance Journalist)
- Ian Plenderleith (Author, Rock ‘n’ Roll Soccer/The Quiet Fan)
- Lincoln City’s Media Team
Speaking about this opportunity, creator of the Stacey West Blog Gary Hutchinson added,
“Following on from the huge success of ‘On The Road With Lincoln City’, I’m really excited to be able to throw my weight behind a second club-endorsed project such as this. Football is nothing without fans and you are the people who make this game great. Every week you have experiences that help shape your life and that of fellow fans. We all have stories to tell, whether it is our first game, a unique friendship we struck up or interactions with a player who became more than just someone to represent the club.
“Your stories are worth telling and not just to your mates in the pub. Other fans should have the benefit of these tales and I have always firmly believed in documenting our culture and experiences as Lincoln City fans. This new competition is your chance to do just that and to help bring a great product to the club range at the same time. Whatever your experience, or the story you have to tell, this is your chance to get it down and ensure future generations know what drives you to the LNER Stadium every week.”
Keep an eye out for some articles from Gary Hutchinson (Stacey West Blog) and other regular contributors talking about what drives them, adding tips on style and content, to help ensure you can make the most of your story and win this very special prize.
Please note that stories should be between 1,000 and 3,000 words and you can submit your entries to marketing@theredimps.com. The deadline for applications at 12pm on Friday 14th August 2020. Good luck Imps, we cannot wait to hear your favourite stories.
