We are pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Billy Knott on a one-year deal following his departure from Gillingham.
Billy, who represented England at youth level, joined the Imps on loan in February and played a key role in our return to the EFL.
The Imps' latest summer signing said: "We had a great end to last season and it was only right to come back here and show the fans what I can do.
"I was probably only half fit last season when I came here and with a full pre-season behind me, I can do a lot more."
The 24-year-old joined Sunderland in 2010 after his departure from Chelsea. He followed that up with loan spells at AFC Wimbledon, Woking, Wycombe Wanderers and Port Vale before leaving permanently in the summer of 2014 for Bradford City.
After a two-year stay in Yorkshire, he joined Gillingham where he made 19 appearances, scoring once before helping Lincoln secure the National League title.
And Billy is looking forward to regrouping with his team mates and backroom staff.
He added: "Everyone knows I know Dan and Nick. It’s been a stressful couple of weeks trying to get it done but it’s done now and I’m looking forward to the challenge."
