Our Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round win at Burnley has been named as the LG Performance of the Week by the League Managers Association.
The League Managers Association’s five-man panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, has determined that the LG Performance of the Week Award should go to City following the historic 1-0 victory against Premier League opposition Burnley on Saturday 18th February 2017, becoming the first non-League side to reach the quarter finals of the competition since QPR in 1914.The experienced and highly distinguished panel has managed a combined total of over 6,000 competitive matches in professional football.
City manager Danny Cowley received a celebratory bottle of champagne, courtesy of Tanners Wines, and a LG Performance of the Week trophy in a presentation to commemorate the result.
